Advanced Search Instructions
You can increase the accuracy of your searches by adding operators that
fine-tune your keywords. The options listed on this page can be entered
directly into any search box on the site.
"Or" Searches
By default, the engine implies the logical "OR" operator. To retrieve pages
that include either word A or word B, just enter the words with a space in
between, it also excepts using the word or. Plural forms and tense variations
are automatically accounted for so this method catches the most results.
For example, to find the word server or the word processor, but
not necessarily both, just type:
"And" Searches
Look for two or more words at once by using the AND operator.
For example, to find documents that have both the word server and the
word processor anywhere, use:
Exclusionary "And Not" Searches
Limit your search by using the AND NOT operator to exclude words.
For example, to find all instances of server , where processor
is not also found.
Phrase Searches
Search for complete phrases by enclosing them in quotation marks. Words enclosed
in double quotes ("like this") will appear together in all results exactly as
you have entered them. Phrase searches are especially useful when searching for
titles or proper names.
For example, to find all instances of the exact phrase "server processor"
